Forever yours – Songs of Love and Loss

Forever yours – Songs of Love and Loss is an intimate concert project by soprano Ilona Tiira, exploring the furthest reaches of human experience: love, loss, and longing through Russian art song. 

Drawing on the emotional intensity and rich expressiveness of Russian music, the programme invites audiences into an inner landscape where music gives voice to what words alone cannot express. Works by composers such as Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and other masters of the Romantic tradition reveal a world in which passion, tenderness, grief, and hope coexist with remarkable immediacy.

At the heart of the project lies a deeply personal artistic journey shaped by loss and the enduring question of how love continues when physical presence is no longer possible. Together with pianist Tuula Hällström, whose sensitive and insightful musicianship brings both clarity and depth to the programme, Tiira creates a musical space for reflection, remembrance, and connection.

More than a concert, Forever yours is an invitation to encounter the enduring power of love through music.
